The 71 year old Thengal Mansion is there to answer every question regarding Assam's culture , tradition , flora and fauna, food habits and provide you with a ringside view of an Assamese village . Thengal offers you the most unique ride you have ever experienced - the bullock cart ride  - still a mode of communication by a large chunk of Assamese villagers.

The Thengal House became  a part of Assam's History when the first Assamese daily newspaper the " Dainik Batori " was brought out from there on 12th August , 1935.

Take a walk in Jalukonibari village and peek at the way the village folk live . See their simplicity and feel their life   full of laughter and music , taking life as it comes.
